Blackfinn Ameripub Restaurants Combine for Close to $14,000 Donation
Blackfinn Ameripub, a whole new generation of the classic American Pub, is excited to announce that 10 of the concept’s restaurants raised a total of $13,977.18 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America during the Second Annual “Summer Fest @ The Finn.” Funds raised during the July-August promotion will be donated to local Big Brothers Big Sisters affiliates in each of the restaurants’ markets.
Blackfinn Ameripub’s “Summer Fest @ the Finn” was designed to celebrate food, drink and all things summer, while supporting a very worthy cause in Big Brothers Big Sisters, which is one of the oldest and largest non-profit youth mentoring organizations in the United States.
“We are grateful for this promotion and the support from Blackfinn Ameripub customers,” said Pam Iorio, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. “These funds will help the national office support affiliates across the country and will directly help our local affiliates near these restaurants create more mentor matches.”
In addition to accepting guest donations, the “Summer Fest @ the Finn” promotion featured a special six-item summer-inspired menu, where $1 from each item sold was donated to the non-profit, including four food items and two cocktails.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters, the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, holds itself accountable for children in its program to achieve measurable outcomes such as educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships. Partnering with parents/guardians, schools, corporations and others in the community, Big Brothers Big Sisters carefully pairs children (“Littles”) with screened volunteer mentors (“Bigs”) and monitors and supports these one-to-one mentoring matches throughout their course. The Big Brothers Big Sisters Youth Outcomes Survey substantiates that its mentoring programs have proven, positive academic, socio-emotional and behavioral outcomes for youth, areas linked to high school graduation, avoidance of juvenile delinquency, and college or job readiness.
Big Brothers Big Sisters provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. This mission has been the cornerstone of the organization’s 110-year history. With more than 300 agencies across the country, Big Brothers Big Sisters serves nearly 170,000 children, their families and 170,000 volunteer mentors. Learn more at www.BigBrothersBigSisters.org.
